Investment Director
Harrie Vollaard
Head of Rabo Frontier Ventures & Partnerships

Harrie Vollaard is the head of RFV and has been working for Rabobank since 1997. Harrie has a tremendous background in innovation at Rabobank as he spurred innovation in his role as Innovation Manager in 2002 and served as Head of Innovation from 2010 to 2016. Harrie is since 2014 part of of the development of the Rabobank Groupwide innovation strategy and also was the interim quartermaster of the Fintech & Innovation department until 2016. In his current role as Head of RFV Harrie established several partnerships with startups, manages the Fintech investments for the Rabobank, is involved in Fintech accelerator programs around the globe and created several spinoffs.

Martijn Scholtes
Chief Financial Officer

Martijn Scholtes is one of the managing directors of RFV and has been working for Rabobank since 2001. Martijn has a background in M&A, Corporate Finance, Private Equity and Business Control. In his role as CFO he is involved in the assessment, valuation, transaction structuring, portfolio management and the funding of RFV and its participations.

Jeroen van Doornik
Investment Director

Jeroen van Doornik joined Rabo Frontier Ventures in 2018 as an Investment Director. Jeroen is a venture capitalist with a background in strategy, entrepreneurship and business development. He is an experienced investor on both sides of the table – started a company in 2005 and exited it seven years later. Jeroen has an hands on approach with partners, entrepreneurs and management teams to grow their companies to the next level. In his current role Jeroen is focused on the deal flow, investments and portfolio management. Jeroen is also a member of the NVP education committee, the Dutch association for Private Equity and Venture Capital and a lecturer in Finance and Entrepreneurship at Universities RSM and UvA.

Henk Doorenspleet
Investment Specialist

Henk has been working for Rabobank since 1988 and is now active for RFV as an Investment Specialist. In previous Rabobank roles Henk achieved significant experience in IT as architect and banking to the ICT sectors and helping Rabobank customers with developing cooperative initiatives. Henk is also active in education, acts as non-exec for Divitel, a digital video system integrator and volunteers in several roles, especially in sustainable energy initiatives. 

Raymond Custers
Investment Specialist

After his studies at the Technical University of Delft Raymond spend some years working in the Telecoms Industry where he was involved in some new developments like IP-Telephony. Raymond has been working for Rabobank since 2008 after he joined RaboMobiel, a MVNO started by Rabobank, to explore the mobile channel for banking functionalities. From that time on Raymond was involved in all new developments that paved the way for the “mobile strategy of Rabobank”, like Mobile Payments, Customer Recognition & Engagement and Mobile Commerce. His interest is still in all new developments based on the usage of the mobile device in combination with Financial & Commerce Services. In his current role he is responsible for all activities associated with the management of RFV investment portfolio. In his current role Raymond manages and expands the portfolio of the fund by connecting the most promising start-ups and scale-ups in the world with RFV.

Maurits Lancee

After graduating at the Erasmus university, Maurits started working at Rabobank in the IT department in various roles. He has experience working with startups in the FinTech eco-system (London and Amsterdam) for multiple years. He is particularly interested in companies that are pursuing opportunities around financial well-being (retail customers), enabling entrepreneurs to grow and cybersecurity. In his current role he is responsible for all activities associated with the management of RFV investment portfolio. Maurits is also responsible for the partnerships that Rabobank has with FinTech accelerators/ incubators like Startupbootcamp and Innovation Lab by Accenture.

Khadija Loukili

Khadija joined Rabo Frontier Ventures in July 2017 after multiple internships within Rabobank Group. During these years she worked in the Payments, Marketing and Fintech & Innovation teams. In her current role as an analyst she focuses on the key themes of the fund, performance reporting and the marketing/communication activities.
